October 9/11 – Scheduled new date for a LAN, Gibfest 6: There Will Be Blood
It will be at luxton Hall at 1040 Marwood, FEBRUARY 18th 2011
September 1/11 – The LAN is over! wow, the LAN was a whirlwind of craziness.
Gibfest Semi-Invitational was a huge success.
We had about 25 guests come out
The Shaw Modem and Cisco Switches were insanely fast
itsallgeektome.ca provided great prizes
Lots of LEAGUE, SC2, battlefield, COD4 was played.
Huge thanks to everyone who attended, lets do it again?

We are proud to announce that Shaw Business, Knowledge Computers, Orca Solutions AND itsallgeektome.ca are sponsoring/supporting our LAN, we greatly appreciate the generosity of such community pillars!
Shaw will be bringing out High Speed internet, knowledge will be providing Cisco Gigabit Switches, Orca will be assisting with networking/servers and lastly itsallgeektome.ca will be providing awesome prizes!
A Quick Checklist for attendees:
1. Have you run windows update?
2. Antivirus/malwarebytes/spybot installed/updated?
3. Defragged?
4. Do you have free space on your computer?
It’s highly reccomended that you get your computer in top shape BEFORE the LAN — if it breaks down during the LAN, you will miss out!
We probably wont be staffing the kitchen for this event, so its reccomended you bring some food/munchies/beverages.
